Entry #9: Farming Crops
Welcome back to the blog. We will talk about a topic I know very little about, but I will try my best to explain my thoughts. We will discuss whether it is advised to plant the same crops in the same soil every year or if you should plant different crops.
The website Fine Gardening says that if you plant the same crops every year, it is nature's version of Russian roulette. You are more likely to get a disease or pest every year you plant it without changing the crop or moving the original crop to a different field. Now, I had a semblance of that in my brain from reading some books and watching some shows, but I never knew that it was a big thing that could happen. I wonder, though, how people can move crops from one field to another if they are in big chunks like in the picture above. I assume they change the crop every season, but I do not know.
I hope that this is a topic that others will look into after reading this and, in the comments, give some more information. I am sorry for this being a short blog post compared to some of my other ones, but I haven't had the time to write or find information as much recently. Signing out, Hadley

Its crazy that nature has its own way of dealing with pests and diseases. Maybe if we took some more notes from nature we can have better harvests. Great post!
